About Show

ALEGRIA Paris presents Alegría – A New Day, a newly reimagined version of Cirque du Soleil’s celebrated 1994 production. With live music, dynamic choreography, and over fifty performers from across the globe, the show examines the conflict between old and new power through the eyes of characters like the Aristocrats and street-wise hopefuls. Since 2019 the updated staging has toured internationally and now makes its French debut at Chatou’s île des Impressionnistes. Critics praise it as a “spectacular circus show that will dazzle,” highlighting its poetic acrobatic flow and emotional depth.

The Story

Set in a kingdom that has lost its king, Alegría explores themes of hierarchy, transformation, and hope through a vibrant ensemble of characters. Aristocrats cling to tradition while a rising movement challenges the old order. Against this backdrop, aerialists, clowns, and dancers interact in a visual narrative rich in symbolism and energy. Expect a stirring cliffhanger as rebellion meets renewal, so book your Alegría Paris tickets to see who triumphs.
