Fashion Manifesto" exhibition at the Palais Galliera exhibition in Paris highlights and showcases the work of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, a revolutionary figure in the world of fashion, known for her timeless and influential designs that transformed women's fashion in the early to mid-20th century.

The Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto beautifully celebrates the designer’s immortal influence on the world of fashion and her timeless, extraordinary style.
The exhibition puts over 350 pieces from Chanel’s fabled catalogue on display, strategically arranging them in 10 chapters. Each of these chapters is accompanied by a portrait of the designer embodying the spirit of the fashion house.
For a more organized and seamless experience, the retrospective has been segregated in two parts - thematically and chronologically.
The chronological journey of the exhibition retells Chanel’s history by using a few emblematic pieces including sporty gowns from the Roaring Twenties, sophisticated attire from the 30s, and even the iconic little black dresses.
In the thematic section of the exhibition, the Coco Chanel aesthetic is put on display: two-tone pumps, fine jewellery, the braided tweed suit and much more.
Spread across 7500 square feet and featuring over 200,000 items curated from many sources, the Palais Galliera makes for a fascinating visit. The pieces of art and fashion on display have been sourced from different sources including international museums like the De Young Museum in San Francisco, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the Museo de la Moda in Santiago de Chile, the Palais Galliera Collections and Patrimoine de Chanel, as well as from many rare, private collections.
